Site disposal/ We can extract the maximum value from land for our landowner clients when selling as part of a redevelopment scheme. This includes the preparation of development briefs, obtaining planning permission and marketing the site.
Site acquisition & assembly/ We hold relevant experience in valuation and negotiation in order to achieve an agreement by private treaty for the purchase of development sites. Acquisition by private treaty including overage and/or development agreements and/or joint ventures is always preferable to compulsory purchase.
Preferred developer/ In large scale urban regeneration projects a development agreement will be required between the Acquiring Authority and the preferred developer which will usually require a development competition as a pre-curser.
Compulsory purchase/ We can advise acquiring authorities on strategy and process including: initial feasibility studies; statement of reasons; statement of case; statement of evidence; and expert witness at inquiry. We can also act for those affected by a CPO by navigating the complex negotiations relating to compensation.
Valuation and compensation/ We are experienced in providing valuation advice and negotiating compensation within the CPO regime including equivalent reinstatement.
