James joined AspinallVerdi in September 2016 on completion of his degree in City Planning and Real Estate Development (MSc) for the University of Glasgow. The course was RICS and RTPI accredited and James is currently working towards his APC in planning and development.
James has had experience on a number of recent jobs including carrying site specific viability assessments for mixed use developments across the country. James has also assisted in carrying out whole planning viability assessments for a number of councils. He also has experience in employment studies helping to carry out market research development appraisals and writing detailed reports.
Favourite Regeneration Project
Dundee Waterfront – The regeneration of Dundee’s waterfront has been an encouraging recent development, wining a number of awards for exemplary design. The multi-phase project is home to the first V&A museum to be built outside London. This Kengo Kuma designed building will be an international centre for design in Scotland. This regeneration project has not only created a high standard of public realm but has accelerated job creation and economic development.
