Favourite Regeneration Project
Shrewsbury Big Town Plan, Shrewsbury – This is an ongoing regeneration project and close to home for me. The Big Town Plan is adopting some very forward thinking and ambitious ideas when it comes to town masterplanning. Work has already commenced on the redevelopment of the Flaxmill Maltings providing a high quality mixed use scheme. Pedestrianisation, cycle hire and new workspaces around the station and northern corridor offer an exciting new opportunities to Shrewsbury’s wider employment offer. Improved transport links and proactive development of key areas like Castle Street and the Riverside which take into account the way the high street and townscape is beginning to evolve will maintain Shrewsbury's status as a 'destination' going forward.
