Cains Brewery Village

AspinallVerdi has worked with the owners of Cains Brewery Village since they opened its gates in November 2015. It is a unique leisure destination centred around the iconic grade II listed Cains Brewery. The brewery was established in 1850 by Robert Cain and described by English Heritage as “One of the finest purpose-built breweries in Britain”.

 A new era for the site will start when Award-winning dining, retail and leisure operators BOXPARK open a brand-new all-day dining and entertainment venue within the Baltic Triangle district in Liverpool, making the group’s first BOXPARK-branded development outside of London.

Services Provided

We played an active role in making this happen:

• Speculative direct approach to Boxpark on behalf of landowner;
• Initial meetings and negotiation with Boxpark;
• Arrange meetings with Leisure expertise for the team;
• Drafting, negotiation and agreement of Heads of Terms;
• Additional negotiation on lease terms;
• Liaison with the future tenant; and
• Liaison with lawyers.

Outcome

Located in the old Canning Hall as part of the Cains Brewery Village estate, BOXPARK

has agreed a 15-year lease with Cains Brewery Village for the site, which will be transformed into a stunning food hall and events destination.

Famous for its diverse street food offering, independent retailers and iconic events, BOXPARK’s new venue aims to champion local businesses and talent with opportunities for both independent and established food operators, as well as artists, creators and performers from Liverpool. The new scheme is set to deliver over 150 local jobs.
